Opening weekends of college and pro football have now come and gone, and the Podcats give some play to some of the bigger stories of the weekend.  From Tom Brady’s injury to the SEC’s return to the top of the college football world, Austin Drew and Mac discuss it all.   Baseball takes a back seat for now, as gridiron excitement kicks it off on the latest edition of the Podcats!

Drew returns and joins Austin, who correctly picked the HR derby champ, and Mac, who is still clinging on to his NBA draft predictions.  This week, a look at the lengthy All-Star game, as well as the 2nd half of the baseball season.  Also, the offseasons in the NBA and NFL have seen plenty of player movement the past week.  The Shark exits his time machine to compete in the British Open, but once again comes up short.  One thing that never comes up short, however, is the Podcats, and it’s next!

The Podcats start off this episode with a special segment provided to us by Clean Air, as they talk about everything from the All Star game to why teams have the nicknames they do.  Then Carl comes by to clean house, and from there, Austin Drew and Mac go over the rest of the uncovered territory this week in sports!

With Derrick Rose taken first in the NBA draft, Drew gets his gloating time in, while Mac boasts about projecting the Lakers’ pick of Joe Crawford.  “The Great” Austin Hill, meanwhile, projects that other local hopeful Chris Lofton gets picked up as a free agent.  Yes, it’s your NBA draft analysis, along with trades galore  and a look at the Olympic basketball team selections.  America’s past time continues toward its All-Star break, while Wimbledon fever gets into full gear.  It’s all that and of course, the one and only hit it or quit it!
